VISITOR AND PATIENT GUIDELINES
Hospital Hours
- Visiting hours are 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- The hospital’s north/front entrance is open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- During evenings and weekends, please use the Emergency Department entrance.
- A compassionate care visitor may be able to stay with a patient around the clock (24 hour attendance) when reasonably appropriate. There are some restrictions when there are special conditions or circumstances for a patient or within a department. If you are unsure, please contact the Nursing unit caring for the patient before you visit. For the inpatient floor, call 660-200-7090, and for the emergency department, call 660-200-7050.
- If you have a respiratory illness, please wear a mask. Masks are available at the entrance and upon request.
Most Masking Requirements Have Been Lifted
- Visitors who have COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 10 days are asked to postpone their visit until 10 days have passed until a positive COVID-19 test or symptom onset and symptoms are resolved.
- Patients who have respiratory symptoms should wear a surgical mask to prevent spread of infection. Additional precautions may be required depending on the specific disease.
- Patients who have had a positive COVID-19 test or have been exposed to COVID-19 should notify their primary care provider and registration staff before presenting for care. If the treatment, test or procedure is still required and the ten days have not passed since onset of symptoms, positive test, or exposure, or the patient is still symptomatic, the patient must wear a minimum level of surgical mask when seeking care. Additional precautions may be required.
- In the event COVID-19 conditions changed and increased to sustained high levels, we may have to consider mandatory masking again.
COVID-19 TESTING
Testing is performed through Family Care Clinics of BCMH. Call 660-200-3627 to schedule.
Patients who need emergency medical care may also get a test in the Emergency Department. Please call ahead to alert our staff before you enter the ER (660-200-7010).
