Speech Therapy

 

Certified speech language pathologists evaluate and treat patients with a variety of articulation, voice, fluency, and language disorders.  In particular our therapists work with patients who have neurological deficits due to stroke or head injury, neuromuscular disorders, structural anomalies, and developmental delays.  Bates County Memorial Hospital offers specialized speech language therapy services for patients including:

Pediatrics

  • A child that is not understood

  • 2-year-old not combining 2/3 word phrases

  • 3-year-old cannot carry on a conversation

  • Infants with reflux or oral aversion
