Surgery

Diagnostic and therapeutic surgical procedures; are offered in a new state-of-the-art facility, complete with twelve private same-day surgery rooms, post anesthesia recovery, a GI lab and three spacious operating suites totaling over 10,000 square feet. Nursing and anesthesia staff are on call twenty four hours a day. The anesthesia department consists of two fulltime CRNAs with twenty-three years combined experience. With this qualified staff, BCMH has the capability of operating in two rooms simultaneously.

 A wide variety of surgical services are offered to the community including urology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, pathology, ENT, podiatry and general surgery. The surgical department provides an invaluable service to a rural community with a population ranging from infants to senior adults. By taking a family approach to patient care, our patient satisfaction ratings are superior.

  • Ophthamology - disease of the eyes including cataract removal

  • Orthopedics - management of fractures, diseases of the bone including carpal tunnel

  • Pathology - examination of tissue after surgical removal

  • ENT - diseases of the ear, nose, and throat including placement of ear tubes.

  • Podiatry - examinations and management of disorders of the feet
