Family Care Clinics to Offer Free Sports Physicals June 17-21 to Area Student Athletes

Family Care Clinics of Bates County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) will offer free sports physicals June 17-21, 2024 for area students who need to complete the MSHSAA physical examination form to participate in junior high or high school sports.

In Support of Heart Check Screenings: BCMH is co-sponsoring a Heart Check Screening event on June 1, 2024, along with Bates County Health Center, Steve and Peggy Berkebile and Fran Haney. Heart Check Screenings are being provided FREE because they could save your child’s life by finding an undetected heart defect. These tests are available to Bates County Residents ages 8-25 and will be held at Bates County Health Center. Screenings include: blood pressure check, EKG, Echo Cardiogram (read by a pediatric cardiologist). If your child is an athlete, test results can be incorporated with our Free Sports Physical Clinic visits to provide a more enhanced physical. For more information about Heart Check Screenings, visit www.MyHeartCheck.org.

Family care providers are donating their day off during the week of June 17-21 to make free sports physical clinics convenient for students and parents. Family Care Clinic locations in Adrian, Butler and Rich Hill are participating on a rotating schedule, with Sports Physical clinics available at one or more of the Family Care Clinic locations each day.
