Vestibular Evaluations and Testing
The vestibular part of the inner ear controls balance, and vestibular evaluations and testing will show how that part of the inner ear is working. Vestibular testing may be ordered for patients who have vertigo, dizziness or balance issues.
Vestibular Therapy can be prescribed to help treat some types of balance issues. These therapies focus on gaze stability, posture stability, or other exercises that improve vertigo and activities of daily living. Vestibular therapies are available through BCMH Rehabilitation Services.
